🇮🇹/🇬🇧 Il risultato del nostro ultimo episodio di Residency con Alessandro Simonetti, scattato in occasione del Derby della Mole nella cornice dell’Allianz Stadium, è un’interpretazione in bilico tra la fotografia sportiva performativa e un glitch tecnologico, dove lo scatto continuo - come nella fotografia in sequenza di Eadweard Muybridge - non serve solo a spiegare il gesto sportivo, ma diventa il pretesto per esplorare una linea estetica che richiama i glitch delle immagini corrotte, lo streaming impallato e, al tempo stesso, l’approccio dei Futuristi, che nel gesto sportivo vedevano la distruzione della materialità (come in Dinamismo di un calciatore di Boccioni). Il movimento dell’atleta non è soltanto il soggetto, ma viene reso attraverso la compenetrazione dei piani, la simultaneità di visione e la frammentazione: elementi che mostrano come “il moto e la luce distruggono la materialità dei corpi” (Manifesto tecnico della pittura futurista, 1910). L’immagine finale non è dunque l’imitazione della realtà, ma la sensazione dinamica del movimento. - The outcome of our latest Residency episode with Alessandro Simonetti, captured during the Derby della Mole in the iconic setting of the Allianz Stadium, is an interpretation poised between performative sports photography and a technological glitch, where continuous shooting - as in Eadweard Muybridge’s sequential photography — not only serves to illustrate the athletic gesture but becomes a pretext for exploring an aesthetic line that evokes corrupted image glitches, frozen streaming frames, and, at the same time, the Futurists’ approach, who saw in the athletic gesture the destruction of materiality (as in Boccioni’s Dynamism of a Football Player). The athlete’s movement is not merely the subject, but is rendered through the interpenetration of planes, simultaneity of vision, and fragmentation - elements that reveal how “motion and light destroy the materiality of bodies” (Technical Manifesto of Futurist Painting, 1910). The resulting image is therefore not an imitation of reality, but the dynamic sensation of movement itself. 📸 @zuekster
